Wimbledon Challenge - Day 7

Halfway there! The knitted rib represents the mown lines of the Wimbledon courts whilst finally the promised crochet love square 😀
Knitted Square
Sample shown in DK and using 4mm needles
Cast on 30 (or a multiple of 4 + 2)
  1. *K2, P2. Repeat from * to last 2 stitches. K2
  2. Purl
  3. Repeat these 2 rows a further 19 times (20 in total)
  4. Cast Off

Abbrieviations: Ch = chain, ch sp = chain space, tr = treble, sk = skip

ch 29

  1. Tr in 3rd ch from hook, tr in each st to end. Turn (27 stitches)
  2. ch 2 (does not count as a stitch throughout pattern). Treble in next 13 st. Ch 1, skip 1 tr to end turn
  3. ch 2, treble in next 11. Ch1, skip 1. Tr in next stitch. Tr in ch 1 space, tr in next stitch. Ch 1, skip stitch. Tr to end, turn
  4. ch 2. Tr in next 9. Ch1, sk1, tr in next st, tr in ch sp, tr in next 3, tr in ch 1 sp, tr in next. Ch1, sk 1, tr to end, turn
  5. ch2. Tr in next 7. Ch1, sk1, tr in next st, tr in ch sp, tr in next 7 stitches, tr in ch sp, tr in next stitch, ch1, sk1,  tr to end. Turn
  6. ch2. Tr in next 5. Ch1, sk1, tr in next st, tr in ch sp, tr in next 11 stitches, tr in ch sp, tr in next stitch, ch1, sk1,  tr to end. Turn
  7. Repeat row 6
  8. ch2. Tr in next 5. Ch1, sk1, tr in next st, tr in ch sp, tr in next 7 stitches, ch1, sk1, tr in ch sp, tr in next 7 stitches, ch1, sk1,  tr to end. Turn
  9. ch2. Tr in next 5. Tr in ch sp, tr in next stitch. Ch1, sk1, tr in next 4 st, ch1, sk1, tr in ch sp, ch1, sk1, tr in next 4 stitches, ch1, sk1, tr in next st, tr in ch sp,  tr to end. Turn
