Help decorate Cullompton for the Platinum Jubilee

In June we have a long bank holiday weekend to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. In Cullompton we are hoping to decorate the town with knitted/crocheted crowns and bunting and would love for you to be involved.

The crowns are mainly knitted with some crochet elements that can be adapted to knitting for those folk who don’t crochet. Alternatively if you are a knitter you might want to knit the crown base whilst a fellow crocheter might complete the crochet parts. These can then be dropped into me and I will assemble them. I currently have some purple and silver yarn that can be used for the crowns available in the shop and also paper copies of the pattern.

There are two knitting patterns and a crochet pattern for bunting using DK yarn. If these could be made in any of the following colours that would be great: Purple, Silver, Royal Blue, White and Red. These are perfect patterns for stash busting.

OPTIONAL: If you want to embellish your triangles with beads/sequins then please do. You could also embroider on something memorable from the last 70 years (personal, local, national, international)

All bunting and crowns to be handed into Fudge’s by 30th April if possible so it can be strung together (14th May at the very latest).

The free patterns can be found here: Platinum Jubilee Patterns

Please feel free to come and work on your bunting or crowns in the shop.

Big Thank you to you all!
