Fudge’s Wool Takes Part in National Campaign

Fudge’s Wool and Haberdashery in Cullompton and Fudge’s wool are taking part in the annual Commit To Knit Campaign, run by UK Hand Knitting, throughout September.

Across the UK, many charities need knitted items to sell to raise vital funds, to highlight campaigns or raise awareness. The idea behind Commit To Knit is simple, just knit or crochet one item for your favourite charity during September.

Come and join us every Thursday afternoon in September (1.30-4pm) to knit an item for charity. We will be concentrating on knitting and crocheting hats but please feel free to join us to knit an item for your preferred charity.

UK Hand Knitting is particularly asking crafters to make hats for the homeless and refugees, which will be offered to Crisis, The Salvation Army and St Mungo’s.  The Wherever I Lay My Hatcampaign will run until Christmas giving crafters plenty of time to make a hat or even two.

The
has a list of charities that accept knitted items as well as lots of free patterns to download with more patterns being uploaded for this year’s campaign all the time.
